Our doctors have specific specialist paediatric and emergency training, and are very experienced in assessing, diagnosing, and managing diseases in children. Infants often become ill and dehydrate more quickly than adults. We recommend early review of febrile young children, specially when a new parent is inexperienced.
We also recognise that in spite of many books on parenthood, parenting a first child is a new experience, and there is no such thing as a ‘silly question’ in learning the boundaries of what is safe or unsafe for our children. We aim to dispel common myths, and provide sensible, caring, and practical advice so parents are confident in managing most childhood conditions at home.
We also have established referral networks with The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, The Sydney Children’s Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, Giant Steps, Child Psychologists, and many local paediatric sub-specialists.
When making an appointment, please let our reception staff know if your child is very ill. Where review of a number of children is required, we request you make a separate appointment for each child, in order to allow the doctor enough time to assess each child properly.
